Platform Choreographies

This project focuses on the power of collective movement and performance to nurture a sense of wellbeing in public spaces and works towards healthier habits of living in cities. The project creates a blackboard of the anthropocene where all traces of human movement are shown and allowed because the marking of the ground is not detrimental when done with care as it speaks about humanity and community rituals. It is not about designing exclusive spaces for treatment like hospitals, but rather offer subtle therapeutic experiences on a day to day basis in public squares. It is doing so by giving value to a delay in everyday routines, through platforms, steps, ramps as archetypes for performance which entice labyrinthian experiences the meandering paths of a public playground.
